Started out touring the U.K. with top ten recording artist Solomon King ,as a member of his road band, The S.K.BAND. Solomon also recorded Northern Soul records under his real name Al Levy.
Became lead guitarist in Texan singer/songwriter Wayne Nutts road band signed to Epic Records,(managed by Solomon King).Toured the U.K. as support act to country legend Slim Whitman.
Formed and played in R&B band The Twisted Wheel and met Brian Walker, he was the dj at one of our gigs. Joined Brian's band Soul Finger, who were a Manchester institution for many years, regularly playing at the BAND ON THE WALL,P.J.BELL'S,ALEXANDERS(Chester) and a host of other prestigious venues in the north west, also supporting such great acts as the VANDELLAS,HOT CHOCOLATE,THE REAL THING(formally THE CHANTS)EDWIN STAR(a true star, and a gentleman),THE MERSEY BEATS,BLUES'N'TROUBLE and the KING PLEASURE & THE BISCUT BOYS.
Also played in between, in various Blues and Funk bands including THE HARPBREAKERS, who backed California harmonica virtuoso, JOHNNY MARS and CLIVE STEWART’s funk supergroup.
Retired from performing to run REDHOUSE REHEARSAL ROOMS but was lured out of retirement by Brian (Colonel Nocturnal) Walker to rejoin the CASINO ALLSTARS with the promise of sex drugs and Northern Soul!!!!
